Discussing the Major Types of Paintball Pistols!

paintball pistols

We would like to introduce you to paintball pistols. These firearms are the perfect option for those who love playing paintball but can't or don't want to use traditional equipment. They are compact and lightweight, making them easy to take with you on the go without any hassle.

All of that means that they're also much easier to hide if you're looking for some covert action! While this is not the same type of equipment you're probably used to using in paintball, there are certain ways that you need to hold yourself and control your movements if you want to succeed.

Make sure that you keep your arms and legs close together. You will find it much harder to control movement if they're spread out like they would be while trying to use a paintball pistol, so don't hesitate to make yourself as compact as possible.

A lot of people make the mistake of gripping the pistol with their middle finger as well instead of just their trigger finger.

Specifications of the Pistols

A pistol, also called a paintball marker, is a gas-powered device that shoots liquid paintballs. These devices typically have 10 to 17 round cylinders on top of the barrel. These pistols are mainly used in wood ball fields and speedball fields.

They are often illegal in speedball fields due to their high rate of fire and the inherent advantage they give players with the stealth needed to attack other players from behind cover or concealment. The use of such handguns is also prohibited by many field operators for liability purposes.

In tournaments, many fields will allow them to be carried but not used, as is the case with most markers in the scenario games. The pistol is often thought of as a novelty item and is not a commonly used type of marker. Like any other marker, they can be used in any style of paintball game.

However, unlike most markers that are fired with compressed gas or CO (paintball guns), paintball pistols are fired with liquid CO cartridges. The liquid CO2 cartridge powers a small ram which operates a valve in the rear of the pistol.

1.  Pump Pistols

The easy-to-use pump paintball pistols are great for beginners and experienced players. They make it easy to have a game anytime you want by just filling them up with your favorite paintball flavor, air, and putting them in the field.

It is important to keep in mind that this type of pistol will cost you more than other types of gun, so keep that in mind when you are looking for your first one. Pump pistols are similar to traditional ball-type guns but instead their projectile is expelled through a piston into the barrel at high speeds.

The difference is that these handguns use flexible membranes rather than solenoids or valves in order to generate the gas needed for the projectile release. With them, you will charge up the gun with air first and then release it upon feeding a paintball into your barrel. Once you have done this, you will then load your barrel with a fresh paintball.

2.    Mechanical Pistols

A mechanical pistol is a type of paintball marker that uses gas to propel the ball. Unlike compressed air, which has a limited volume, a gas tank can be refilled and reused over and over again.

In most cases the pressure emitted from the marker is regulated by an on/off feature or by using a regulator to decrease or increase pressure, depending on what level of performance is desired at any given time.

Some common types of mechanical pistols include semi-automatic pistols, single-action pistols and double-action revolvers. These types can be used in different scenarios due to their varying mechanisms and projectiles they fire.

3.     Electronic Pistols

Electronic paintball pistols allow you to shoot at targets with an electronic projectile. A common type of electronic pistol is a device that uses compressed air as the propellant, often referred to as a pneumatic paintball gun.

They are used by serious players and in military operations with ordnance such as artillery and mortars where there is no risk of unexploded ordnance. Electronic paintballs can be used with other types of projectile guns, including models firing metal pellets or metal balls.

One primary benefit of using them is automatic targeting capability, making it possible for the shooter to fire on multiple targets without having to move and change aim each time.

Paintball Pistols: Worth Buying Firearms

So, you want to buy a pistol and don't know which one to choose. There are many benefits of buying paintball pistols, such as the price. These pistols are cheaper than other types of paintball guns (such as a sniper rifle) because they have less features and functions with them.

Most pistols will come with an internal hopper and barrel system which are both very easy to install.  The high flow rate valve has less kickback when you shoot it, so it makes them perfect for beginners or people who have had previous experience in the sport.

Another benefit of pistols over the other types is that they are inexpensive to run. The amount of paintballs used per shot is less in the life cycle of a pistol compared to the other types. Some pistols can shoot 12-14 bps which means they will last longer than the other types.
